The three geographical factors are the Appalachian Mt.that they are near the British colonies then the other one is the Ohio River helps us move. Finally the other one is Transcontinental Railroad transfer through variety ways. All of these are very important.

The Wilderness Trail in 1775. This trail went from what is now Kingsport , Tennessee, through the Cumberland Gap in the Appalachian Mountains that went into Kentucky. It would become the route for thousands of settlers of the western frontier.

The Ohio River took pioneers to the Mississippi River. From there, they could travel to St. Louis and beyond. Traveling on the Ohio and Mississippi river, pioneers were able to start settling much more of the West.


California had a great increase in population in the mid-1800s because of the gold was discovered there in 1848. Many people were moveing to California with the hope of finding that gold and becoming rich.

The Eria Canal was a factor that led to migration to the U.S. It made it much easier to move goods . The ohiio river was also a factor that led to migration . People were able to use the river to travel and is made it really easy to settle . The Oregon Trail was also used to migrate , and used for getting water for easier traveling .

The Atlantic Ocean was one of the resaons of factors of the Amirican migration because it was a source of water and a opertuity to trade. The Mississipi river was also a factor for the same resons as the Atlantic Ocean. The Erie Canal was also a big factor because it maid it much esyer to move goods between the Great Lakes and the Atlantic Ocean.

1. California- California had a great increase in population in the mid-1800s. Gold was discovered there in 1848. Alot of people moved to California hoping to find gold and become rich.

2. Mississippi River- The Mississippi River provided a way to transport goods. Goods could be transported from the Midwest to New Orleans. they would be shipped to the Atlantic Coast to be exported.

3. Ohio River- The Ohio River took pioneers to the Mississippi River. From there, they could travel to St. Louis and beyond. Traveling on the Ohio and Mississippi, pioneers were able to start settling much more of the West.
