Pretend you are making a Journey to the Center of the Earth.  Write a paragraph describing the different layers (there are six you should mention) you pass as you reach the center of Earth.  Make sure you use the scientific terms for each layer.  Refer to Study Island for information.

Remember to include what the composition of each layer is (whats its made up of).

OH Grade 6-8, Science Standard Earth and Space Sciences D
Identify that the lithosphere contains rocks and minerals and that minerals make up rocks. Describe how rocks and minerals are formed and/or classified.

Layers of the Earth

1. The Crust is the section thicker than the Ocianic Crust.

2. The Ocianic Crust is black on top there would be a ocean of some kind.

3. Thee Mantle is the most thickest layer and accounts for most of the Earth's bulk. It is denser than the Crust, but not as dense as the Core, and it is in the middle.

4. The Lithosphere is the most coldest and the most brittle ayer at Earth's surface. It is a solid layer that contains all of the crust and a very thin part of the mantle's top.And its also plates that also cause earthquakes.

5. The Asthenosphere is a less rigid layer directly underneath the Lithosphere. It consists entirely of mantle rock. Although it is solid, the Asthenosphere is able to flow very slowly. This causes the rigid plates of the Lithosphere on top to move around.

6. The Mesosphere is the rest of the the mantle below the Asthenosphere. The Mesosphere is stronger and denser than the Asthenosphere.

7. And the last of all things is that The outer core is the liquid, Outer portion of the Earth's core. And it does also slowly, gradual flow in the outer core produces the Earth's magnetic field.

8. Oh one last one layer of earth. The Inner core is the solid, inner portion of the Earth's core.

And thats all aboout the layers of the earth.

Today I am having a trip to the center of the Earth. And I am learning about the Earths Structure & composition and the different layers that the earth is made up.The first layer is the Crust and the is made of hard rocks and light materials. The second layer is the Lithosphere an the Lithosphere is The uppermost mantle consists of hard rock and is attached to the crust that makes up the lithosphere. And the lithosphere is made up of tectonic plates which 'float' independently of each other. The third layer to the center of the Earth is the asthenosphere this layer is made up of highly viscous but solid rock.the viscosity allows it to move slowly over time. The forth layer is the Mesosphere this layer is consists of nitrogen-rich and oxygen-poor with some ozone and it is made up of dense, iron and magnesium. The fifth layer is the Outer Core and that layer is made of very hot molten lava, this lava is mostly believed to be iron and nickel. The last layer is the Inner Core which is the center of the Earth and is made up of a solid ball like iron and nickel. This is what I learned this week.

First I am passing thru the lithosphere,it is the cold, brittle layer at Earth's surface. Second I go thru The asthenosphere,it is a less rigid layer that consists entirely of mantle rock.Third The mesosphere,it is a solid layer, and is stronger and denser than the asthenosphere. Next I pass by The outer core,it is the liquid, outer portion of the Earth's core. Finally I make my finall stop at The inner core, which is the solid, inner portion of the Earth's core.

The first location of the physical property is the Lithosphere. The lithosphere discription is it's very cold and brittle. The second layer is the asthensphere. It's less ridged and it's underneath. The third layer is the mesosphere. It's a solid layer. The last few spots are the inner and outer core. The outer core contains liquid and the inner core contains a solid.

The Earth's layers are the lithosphere, the asthenosphere, the mesosphere, the outer core, and the inner core. The lithosphere is cold and brittle. The asthenosphere is a less rigid layer directly underneath the lithosphere. The mesosphere is stronger and denser than the asthenosphere. The outer core is like lava. The Inner core is like rock.

The Earth's first layer is the Lithosphere . There's also the Asthenosphere , Mesophere , Outer Core and Inner Core . The Lithosphere contains rocks and minerals . Minerals make up rocks . The Earths crust and weathering are what make rocks and minerals are fuels and gasses .

One day i decided to take a trip to the center to the earth. On my way to the earth i had to go throught alot of the earth's layers.First i went through the crust which is the thinnest layer. Then i went through the oceanic crust which was very dark and had some type of ocean on top of it.The next layer i went through was the mantle which was very thick and hot it is the thickest layer. After the mantle layer i went through the lithosphere layer it was very cold and brittle. The layer after that was asthenosphere layer whcih was made up of mantle rock.Next was the mesosphere layer it was stronger and denser than the asthenosphere layer. After the mesosphere layer then came the outer core which is a liquid slow gradual flow in the outer core produces the earths magnetic field. The last layer was the inner core which is a solid and is the inner portion of the earths core

One day this big huge ball of fire was shooting down torwards earth. We all seen it coming. few minutes later it hit earth and made a big hole in the earth. Scintest went to go study it. and all u no the ground was shaking, all the scintest fell into the big dark hole. they passed through the crust it was really cold, but while they keep falling it gets hotter and hotter. Soon they passed through the mantle, the mantle was really hot it was filled with crystals and gold. as soon as they passed through the mantle, it was steaming hot they fell into the core buy the did'nt go all the way into the core because the big huge crater was just above the core the scintests didnt die though because the had these big ropes that could stop them from free falling, as soon as the were on the crater they had looked around and they seen lots of gold diamonds and crystals as soon as the scientest got out they all made a fortune bye how much diamonds and gold they had.

The crust is the outermost, thinnest, least dense layer. Continental crust is made mostly of the rock granite.

The mantle is the hot, middle, thickest layer and accounts for most of the Earth's bulk.

The core lies at Earth's center. The core is made mostly of iron and nickel, and it is the densest layer.

The lithosphere is the cold, brittle layer at Earth's surface.

The asthenosphere is a less rigid layer directly underneath the lithosphere.

The mesosphere is a solid layer that accounts for the rest of the mantle below the asthenosphere.

The outer core is the liquid, outer portion of the Earth's core.

The inner core is the solid, inner portion of the Earth's core.

The first Location i had to go through on the Physical Properties was the Lithosphere. The next one i had 2 go through was the Asthenosphere.(Its getting hot). The next spot is the Mesosphere.the next form the cent of the earth is the Outer Core. the last stop is the Inner Core(Its Really hot i mean hot)

First I go through the lithosphere its very cold. Now I'm going the Asthenosphere now its getting hotter. Then finally the inner and outer core is very hot.
