Mr. Reese

OH Grade 6-8, Science Standard Earth and Space Sciences B
Explain that the universe is composed of vast amounts of matter, most of which is at incomprehensible distances and held together by gravitational force. Describe how the universe is studied by the use of equipment such as telescopes, probes, satellites and spacecraft.

The closest star to the planet Earth is sun . Fusion in the sun occurs principally through a nuclear reaction called the proton-proton chain . Most stars operate under the same general processes as our star , the sun . Astronomers classified the stars that they observed in the universe and plotted the occurrence of different stars in what is known as a Hertzsprung-Russell (H-R) diagram . The brightness of a star depends on how much light is released by the star and how far the star is from Earth .

A star begins as a collapsing cloud of material composed primarily of hydrogen.and multi-star systems consist of two or more stars that are gravitationally bound.

One thing I learned about the stars is that the Sun was born 5 1/2 Billions of years ago,an that the sun uses 4 million tons of gas each second.Plus I learned that the Suns atmosphere is called the Corona, and that the Sun has the volume of one million earths. And I learned that the brightness of the star depends on how much light is released and how far away it is from the earth.Astronomers observe the stars that are in the Universe an plot the occurrences of different stars in what is called a Hertzsprung-Russell(H-R)Diagram.The Sun is a typical star, it sits along the Main Sequence an is known as a Yellow Dwarf. From the H-R Diagram Yellow Dwarfs are smaller that Red Giant stars an are bigger than Brown Dwarfs.

The sun is a star, its is the closest star to Earth. A star is a ball of hot gas that make's its own energy and emitt's light. A star can apper brighter or more dim depending on how close it is to the Earth. The sun is a star that is known as a yellow dwarf. In about about 4.57 billion years the sun will die.

This week I learned that stars are all different. I've also learned that they have different states they go in to. Some of them are like a red giant and like a red dwarf and many more. And did you know that the sun is a star that is in the middle state but still has many years to go in till it changes states. Well that's what i learned this week.

The sun is a star that is the closest star to planet earth. The sun is so big it is about 1.5 million earths. The sun a star called yello dwarf. A star can be bright or very dark depending how close it is to earth. Our sun still has a good 5 billion years till it dies.

The sun is a star. The Sun is the closest star to Earth. Stars are in perfect balance. Most stars are red dwarfs. Most stars come in multiples.

The closest star to the earth is the sun.Stars are made up of hydrogen.Hydrogen is used as fuel for the star through a energetic nuclear process which is know as fusion. The sun is know as the yelloe dwarf. The sun is a average star.

The sun is the largest star. This star is the closest star to the Earth. The star's famous name is called a yellow dwarf. You can tell by the star being really hot is that it's blue. The star contains a some kind of fusion that let out a nuclear reaction. The sun will die in about 4.7 billion years from now.

The sun is a star formed from a giant cloud of gases. The sun is a giant nuclear reactor. The sun uses four million tons of mass every second. The sun makes up 99% of the material in our solar system. Six billion years from now the sun will become a white dwarf.

I learned lots of cool thing about how stars can be bigger and smaller than our sun.and how scientist study the univers, like the telescope, scientist us the telescope to reach new planets and to study the univers and its planets.

I learned that the smallest star is a dwarf star and the biggest star is a supergiant. I also learned that the sun is not as bright as it seems. The just seems bright because it's the closest star to earth. Also

The universe is made of many different amounts of matter. The universe is studied by telescopes, probes, satellites and spacecrafts. The telescopes are used to on Earth. With a telescope, you can use it to see Stars. With Probes, they're used to investigate other elements.
Satellites are used for photography of the earth's surface. And spacecrafts are usually launched out into outer space,to study other planets to see if there are other living elements on different planets.

I learned that the sun is the biggest star near earth. And that there are a star called the giant. Plus there is a star also called the super giant. I learned that there were dwarfs planets. And that there is a main sequence in which the sun is in ..

A star is a ball of hot gas that make's its own energy. the stars are light years away. The sun is the closest star 2 earth at about 150 million km.About 5 1/2 Billions of years ago.An the sun uses 4 million tons of gas each second.A star is a ball of hot gas that make's its own energy ch second.

I learned that the stars are some many different colors, there is so much heat in space that the energy and gas are makeing more stars.the nearest star 2 us is the north star. when star die the gas and energy makes more stars then.

the sun is made of a lot of gas and chemicals and is a big star. It give's a lot of heat and is very bright are sun was born 5 and half billion years ago from a large massive gas as the gas move together the gravitate be came grater dragging more and more gas into it the sun uses 4 million tons of mass every second.

The SUN is just ONE of about 100 billion STARS in our GALAXY.It consists of 75% HYDROGEN and 25% HELIUM.All stars begin from clouds of cold molecular hydrogen that gravitationally collapse. As they cloud collapses, it fragments into many pieces that will go on to form individual stars.

The sun is just one of billions of stars and the closest star to earth.
The sun is 75% Hydrogen and 25% Helium.
there are many colors of stars this helps you know how hot the star is.
