_Matter on Earth is generally found in one of three different states: solid, liquid, or gas. Another common state of matter that is much more rare on earth is plasma. The state of matter that a substance has depends on the arrangement of the particles, the attractions between particles, and the amount of energy the particles possess.

Assignment...Only 1 question this week, be complete and detailed.

1.  Using water as an example, in one paragraph describe the list the three phases of matter that water exhibits, how it changes from one phase to the other and whether or not the mass of the matter changes as it goes from phase to phase.

ice is solid , when it is warmed up it turns into a liquid form , and if you warm it up any more it turns into steam because of the gas

The three matters of mass is solid, liquid and gas.

Solid are very close together in an ordered, regular pattern. Solid particles are in fixed positions primarily due to the strong attractive forces that exist between them.

Liquid have a definite volume, but they do not have a definite shape. This is because the particles in a liquid are arranged somewhat close together, but they are free to move around one another.

Gas do not have a shape or a volume. Gas particles are arranged very far apart, and they move very very fast. They will spread out to fill all the space that is available.

Water is a liquid and liquid has volume but no shape, liquid particles do not hold together as strongly as solids.

The particle in a liquid has more kinetic energy than the same particles of a solid. That means that they can move more faster.

Since the particle of a liquid are more spead out a liquid has less dense, than the same substance of a solid, but liquid are more denser than gas.

Water can take up many forms for example solid liquid and a gas.Water can turn into a solid by freezing it.It can also turn into a gas for example boiling water and steam. It can turn back into a liquid.

solid- is when the water get really cold and freezes till it is a solid.

liquid- is a water like substance that has free space and can take up any shape of any mass of an object

Gas- Gas can take up a lot of space. gas can usually take up any shape or size of any shape. Gas will spread throughout the shape till it fill it.

If you heat the solid it turns into a liquid, then if you freeze it it turns to a solid, then if you heat it again you will eventually get a gas. these phases change because or heat or coldness. The mass does not change because it changes volume not mass.

the mass from a solid to a liquid i dont think changes bhut i think it changes when a solid or liquid turns into a gas

Water can be turn in to soiled liquid.
soiled liquid can be turn in to water liquid .
when oxygen in the wind gets to the iron the iron combines with the air it rusts.
lava, lava hardens when it cools off and turn to rock lava is a liquid.

Water can be in a solid form . It's frozen , as ice . If the frozen water melts , it turns into a liquid . From the liquid , it may evaporate , and turn into a gas . Throughout all of these stages of water , the mass never changes . It's always the same amount , just a different form .

The tree phases of matter that water exhibits,is a Solid shape,a Liquid shape, and a Gas shape of water. The solid shape of water is cold, and in order to make the solid shape of water into a liquid shape of water, you must melt the solid shape of water. The liquid shape of water can be cold, hot,or worm. To make the liquid into a gas, you can put the water into a pot on the stolve and make the water very hot, and it will start to smoke. The smoke is the gas. The Solid shape and the Liquid shape of water have the same amont of mass. The Gas shape of water dose not have the same amont of mass.

when some thng is a solid like a ice cube it can turn to liquid by leaveing it in room temperture and to make it a gas put the melted water on the stove an then it will turn to gas.And th mass do not change when it goes to phrase to phrase it always stays the same.

Water can become the three most common states of matter.
Water in itself is a liquid wich is one state of matter. Also water can be frozen and become a solide. and finally water can be heated and turned into a gas. All these changes can happen withought changing the mass of the water.

The three phases of matter that water exhibits are solid, liquid and gas. So water starts out as a liquid. For example when you put the water in an ice tray, then you put the ice tray in the freezer. The water freezes and turns into ice (solid). When heat hits the solid ice it turns back into a liquid. The liquid can then be transformed into a gas. An example of water transforming into gas is evaporation. An example of when evaporation can occur is when heat hits water and causes it to become a vapor. The mass does not change.

Water is normally in liquid form, it has no positive shape it molds to the shape of the container. Water freezes at 0.0 degrees Celsius its mass does change when it freezes, (it gets heavier) it is now a solid. Then it can evaporate into a gas, the mass changed again but it is lighter now.

water has a definite volume but does not have a definite size or shape. this can be the particles in a liquid and they are free to move around one another. This allows them to take the form of whatever they are in. Liquids have a less arrangement than solids but they are more ordered than gases. The tree phases of matter are gas, solid and liquid.

When water is created it starts out a liquid. Then there is two ways to do it. You can freeze the liquid or you can boil the liquid When the liquid is frozen it can be called a solid. All the mass is condensing together making it all come together. Then when you are boiling the water then you turn the liquid into a gas. All the particles are moving around freely and not stuck together like a solid.

Water can be frozen to make a solid phase. Water can be melted to make a liquid phase. Boiling water would make a gas phase. The mass does not change between phases.
