Food Chains vs. Food Webs

This week you are to write and describe an example of a food web and a food chain and Post it in the comment section.  DO NOT USE THE EXAMPLE SHOWN IN STUDY ISLAND FOR THIS ASSIGNMENT!

Please respond following the guidelines below:
  1. Your first paragraph should include the definition of a food chain and an example of a food chain with at least 5 organisms.  Make sure you name the organism and explain who eats who in the chain.
  2. Your second paragraph should include the definition of a food web with at least 5 organisms.  Make sure you name the organisms and explain who eats who in the food web.
  3. This post should be two paragraphs and should take you no longer than 30 minutes.

A food chain chain is when one thing eats something and then something eats it and so for.Example:grass->impala->tick->tick bird->snake->hawk.

A food web is a continues one thing eating another.Example:grass is eat by a impala,locust,and seed eating bird seed eating bird is ate by a hawk the locust is ate by a scorpion is ate by a baboon is ate by a leopard eats a impala gets a tick and the ticks get ate by a tick bird is ate by a snake witch is ate by a hawk

This food chain shows the flow of energy from a producer, algae, to the consumers in the ecosystem. Algae>Mosquito>Dragon-fly-larva>Fish>Raccoon.that = a food-chain.A food web is a group of interconnected food chains. Organisms within a food web can belong to more than one tropic level, or feeding level.shrimp gets eaten by small fish and they get eaten by mackerel and they are eaten by tuna and they are eaten by a large shark.that = a food-web

(food chain)1st the herbivore eats the plant the herbivore gets eaten by the mouse the mouse get eaten by the snake the snake gets eaten by the hawk... (food web)The krill is eaten by the seal,fish,and penguin the whale eats the seal fish,and penguin the whale also eats the tiny animals which is also eaten by the krill...

describes the feeding relationships, and energy flow of the animals within an ecosystem.

grass is a producer, the grasshopper eats the producer. then the mice come along and
eat the grasshopper, the snake eats the mice. the hawk is flying around and finds the
snake, the hawk eats the snake. then the hawk dies, so the decomposers eat the hawk.
they turned the hawk into nutrients, witch is released into the soil.

a foodweb is a food chain but with many different orginisms.

Grass -> grass hopper ->Mouse -> Rat -> Cat -> Dog
Dog dies becomes nutrition for the grass then the grass hopper gets eaten by the mouse the mouse gets eaten by the rat the rat gets eaten by the cat the cat gets eaten by the dog and so on.

Every organism needs to obtain energy in order to live. For example, plants get energy from the sun, some animals eat plants, and some animals eat other animals. The arrows in a food chain show the flow of energy, from the sun or hydrothermal vent to a top predator. As the energy flows from organism to organism, energy is lost at each step. A network of many food chains is called a food web.When any organism dies, it is eventually eaten by detriments (like vultures, worms and crabs) and broken down by decomposes (mostly bacteria and fungi), and the exchange of energy continues. an example is a snake that eat rabbits. an example is a rabbit that eats grass.

Grass -> Mouse -> Snake -> Hawk -> People
Grass gets eaten by the Mouse the mouse soon later gets eaten by a Snake Then a Hawk fly's down and picks up the Snake with there claws and fly's away with the snake and eats it on a Tree branch in there nests or somewhere else.Then the People would shoot down the Hawk and probably eat them or stuff them and hang them on there walls.

Example:plant -> insect -> mouse -> lizard -> jaguar

A food chain is a short series of organisms that are connected with other series of links in the food web.

A food chain is a linear sequence of links in a food web starting from a trophic species that eats no other species in the web and ends at a trophic species that is eaten by no other species in the web.

Green plant producer--> gets eaten by the rat--> the rat gets eaten by the wild cat--> the wild cat gets eaten by the lion--> the lion is at the top of the food chain and can't be eaten

A food web (or food cycle) depicts feeding connections (who eats whom) in an ecological community.

The green plant producer--> is eaten by the rat, goat, rabbit--> the rat is eaten by the owl,snake,rabbit,and wild cat--> the rabbit gets eaten by the jackal and the wild cat --> the goat gets eaten by the jackal & lion-->then the snake gets eaten by the kite-->the kite gets eaten by nothing-->

Food Chains: A food chain is line of specific organisms eating each other.
Example: grass eaten by grasshopper, grasshopper eaten by rat, rat eaten by snake, snake eaten by hawk.Food Web:multiple food chains in a web form.Example:leaf eaten by squirrel, fish eaten by seal and eats seaweed,cow eaten by lion and eats grass,snake eaten by hawk and eats rabbit,grasshopper eaten by frog and eats grass.

Food Chain
Grass-->Grasshopper-->Rat-->Snake-->Hawk
A food chain describes the feeding relationships and energy flow between species within an ecosystem.
Food Web
Grass-->Grasshopper are eaten by birds and rats
Grass-->Rabbit are eaten by hawks and fox
Grass-->Deers are eaten by lions and cheetahs
A food web is a group of interconnected food chains.

A Food Chain is a linear sequence of links in a Food Web starting from a Trophic Species that eats no other species in the web and ends at a trophic species that is eatten by no other specis in the web. Ex. Bull Kelp is eatten by the Sea Urchin and the Urchin is eattin by the Crab and the Crab is eatten by the Octopus.
A Food Web depicts feeding connections in an ecological community.Ecologists can broadly lump all life forms into one of two categories called trophic. Ex. Dinoflagellates is eatten by the Euphausid and also the Water Flea as when the Flea and Euphausid is also eatten by the Pilchard and the Euphusid is eatten by the Blenny and the Snapper and the Snapper is eatten by the Dolphin and the mullet is eatten by the Tiger Shark and the diatoms os eatten by the crab and the octopus

A food chain describes different organisms eating one another in linear. For example grass-->grasshopper-->rat-->snake-->hawk.

A food web is a more detailed food chain that includes all organisms in an ecosystem. For example grasshopper -->rats and birds and eats grass. Rats-->owls and eats grasshoppers

algae -> mosquito larva -> dragonfly larva -> fish -> racoon
A food chain describes the feeding relationships and energy flow between species in an ecosystem.

Crabeaters eats squid, krill, and fish. Adelie penguins eat fish and krill. Leopard seal eats crabeaters, petrel, and penguins. Killer whales eats crabeaters, penguins and petrel. Humpback whales eat krill and fish.

A food chain is the feeding process between species in an ecosystem.
Phytoplankton-->zooplankton-->krill--> squid-->emperor pueguins-->leopard seals.

A food chain is a many food chains in one ecosystem.

Humpback whale eats krill and ice and tooth fish. Leopard seal eats crabeater seal,killer whale and emperor pueguins.Phytoplankton eats zooplankton and krill. leopard seal and killer whale eats adelie pueguin.

The definition of a food chain describes the feeding relationships and energy flow between species within an ecosystem.One example of a food chain is ......Raccoon eats fish...fish eats dragonfly larva ....dragonfly larva eats mosquito larva....mosquito larva eats algae..and algae is a producer it makes its own food.

The definition a food web is a group of interconnected food chains.Three example of a food web is...salmon gets eaten by puffins....and it eats water nutrients.

Puffins are eaten by foxes...and it eats rats and salmon...

Foxes eats puffins,kittiwakes,and rats.

The definition of an food chain is the feeding relationships of animals like for an example the grasshopper eats the grass and the frog eats the grasshopper and the snake eats the frog and the hawk eats the snake that's the definition of an food chain.
The definition of an food web is an group of A complex of interrelated food chains in an ecological community. Also called food cycle.An example of an food web is the frog eats insects and is eating by snake and hawk.Also squirrel eats acorn and is eating by fox.Also the frog eats grasshopper and is eating by owl.

FOOD CHAINS:
A food chains is a sequence where one thing eats another thing but is not eaten by something else. One example is found in a Swedish lake-an osprey feeds on the northern pike, which feed on perch which eat on freshwater shrimp. The osprey is never eaten by anything unlike the other things.

FOOD WEB:
A food web is when one organism does something that effects another organisms for example- ocean nutrients that are in the water support phytoplankton(producer), phytoplankton is eaten by manta rays(primary comnsumer), manta rays are then eaten by sharks(secondary consumer), then when the shark dies, (it wasn't eaten by anything)it is consumed by bacteria(decomposer), and finally those nutrients are sent back into the ocean water.
