Matter can undergo physical and chemical changes. When a physical change occurs, a substance changes without altering its composition. When a chemical change occurs, a substance has chemically reacted to form one or more different substances.

Some examples of a physical changes are breaking something, crushing something, and freezing something. Some examples of chemical changes are baking, burning something, and fireworks exploding. The Law of Conservation of Matter is when a substance changes chemically or physically the total mass of the substance or substances stays the same because matter can neither be created or destroyed by physical or chemical changes.

3 physical changes are someone stepping on a can and crushing it.tearing a sheet of paper,popping a balloon is another physical change three chemical changes: fireworks exploding ,water turning into ice,and a tree catching on fire and being reduced to ash.When a substance goes through a chemical or physical change, the total mass of the substance or substances stays the same. because the mass cannot be destroyed by chemical or physical changes.

Physical Change
When a physical change occurs, a substance changes its appearance but not its identity or chemical composition.

Chemical Changes
A chemical change occurs when a substance changes its identity because its particles have been rearranged.

Conservation of Matter
When a substance goes through a chemical or physical change, the total mass of the substance or substances stays the same. This is because matter can neither be created nor destroyed by physical or chemical changes.

(Example)
If 50 grams of pure ice melts into liquid water, the form of the water changes into a liquid, but the amount of matter is the same.

Physical Changes:

Chemical Changes:
Reactions may either produce heat or absorb heat.
If two substances are mixed and their color changes
Another sign of a chemical change is the production of a solid precipitate or the development of a gas

If you burned charcoal, the charcoal would react with oxygen, which changes it chemically.

An example of a physical change is when a snowman melts and become a puddle of water, Example 2 when you stomp on a can of pop and it changes It's shape ..... because it's squished. Example 3 When a ball is thrown through a window and it breaks. An example of chemical change is when you put a cake in the oven and it comes out cooked. Example 2 when a tree is burning down, Example 3 when fireworks exploded .

An example of a physical change is crumbling up paper because when you do it it is still paper. Another one is freezing ice, it is a physical change because its not a whole new substance. Another one is breaking glass because when you break it it is still glass. A chemical change is burning a house down, it is a chemical change because it is a whole new substance. Another one is TNT because when you blow it up it is a whole new substance. And another one is baking cookies because it turns into a whole new substance from all the ingredients. When substances go through changes the total mass stays the same, this is because matter cant be created or destroyed it can only change forms.

Physical change is when you have a piece of paper and you tear it in half, Or when you cut your nails with a clipper , Or when a piece of ice melts and turns into liquid. A chemical change is like if you put mentos in coca cola, Or when you put balking soda and vinegar together or you washing your clothes with soap going from clean to dirty.

And Ripping Paper

The law of Conversation is the mass of a substance that will remain constant whether it is whole or not.If it goes through a Chemical Change the masses of the products will equal the masses of the original reactants.

Three Physical Changes:A pencil being broke,changing a solid into liquid & a pounding medal that's form into thin sheets.
Three Chemical Changes:Formation of rust,burning of a candle,& digesting of food.
Physical Change is when a substances is appearance but not identify by a chemical compositions.
Chemical Changes is when its been rearrange an identify by its own new properties .

Chemical Change - burning a tree, Fireworks, a plant growing from the sun.

One example of chemical change is setting a tree on fire.The second example of chemical change is making a volcano erupt.The third example of a chemical change is fireworks going off.

Three examples of chemical changes are burning wood, baking a cake, and making a model volcano erupt using baking soda and vinegar.
The Law of Conservation of Matter explains matter isn't created or destroyed. The mass is always there , whether it's whole, or into pieces.

3. The last example of a physical change is breaking a piece of glass or a piece of clay.
4. An example of a chemical change is mixing baking soda and vinegar to make an explosive volcano.
5.Burning a piece of paper or wood is also another example of chemical change.
6.Baking something is also an example of a chemical change.
The Law of Conservation of Matter is the idea that matter can never be created or destroyed. The mass of a substance will always remain whether it is whole or in pieces, or in a different state.
