Take a look at how American grew in size during the 1800's.  As transportation improved, people began to spread out to different settlements across the US.

Human settlements vary in location, size, and function. Some of the main focuses of settlements are creating economic, transportation, communications, and government systems. Where cities are located usually has a great deal to do with both physical and human characteristics

One of the reasons that Akron was a good place to settle is that it is placed next to the great lake region. The population in Akron during the 1900's was fueled by the booming rubber business. Cincinnati and Cleveland was a good place to settle because they were near a water source.

3. and i t was a good location because it was near water. AND IT HAD A LOT OF LAND AND WATER FOR THERE CROPS.

Akron was a good choice for settlement , because it was a strategic point at the summit of the developing Ohio and Erie canal , in 1825 . The reason that Akron's population grew so much during the early 1900's is , because it became " The Rubber Capital of the World ." Cincinnati and Cleveland were such good settlements . because they were both close to the rivers , good for trading .

What made Akron a good choice for the settlement was that it was connected to beaver, And Pennsylvania. But the population steadily grew and the reason was that Akron was the "rubber capital of the world". what made Cleveland and Cincinnati a good place to settle was that they were close to the water.

The reason Akron is a good choice for settlement is because it's by the great lakes (water) and there were farms. There was a population increase in Akron in the 1900's because Akron was considered a "Boom town".The reason that Cleveland and Cincinnati were good locations for settlement because Cleveland is close to water and Cincinnati was close to water and had good soil for farming.

They consider Akron as a wonderful settlement because it is by the Ohio Erie Canal. It was also the fith largest city in the U.S. The population was increasing because of the economy and the companies. Cleveland and Cinncinati is by The Great Lakes.

Akron was a good place for settlement because the Erie Canal led to the Ohio River which led to the Mississippi to transport crops, tires, grains by boat.

Population grew in Ohio in the late 1900s because of the Goodyear Rubber Industry which led more Americans to Ohio for jobs.

Cincinnati and Cleveland were a good place for settlement because Cleveland sits by Lake Erie and Cincinnati sits by the Ohio River.

It is located in the Great Lakes region approximately 39 miles (63 km) south of Lake Erie along the Little Cuyahoga River.During the 1910-1920 decade Akron was the fastest growing city in the country and experienced a 201.8% population increase becoming a boom town. World-renowned industries including the cereal, lamp, toy & marble, and tire & rubber were flourishing in the city at the time.Cause we are by water and other states they didnt have water back then all they had was boats.
