Energy comes in many different forms....

Assignment...
  1. List the 7 types of energy listed on page 1 in study island.
  2. Complete the simulation below...as you change the variables for the skater what happens to the amount of energy used?
  3. Explain what the Law of Conservation of Energy is.

7 types of energy are, Mechanical Energy, Radiant Energy and Light, Thermal Energy and Heat, Sound Energy, Electrical Energy, Chemical Energy, of , Nuclear Energy.

The amount the energy used does not change.

Law of Conservation of Energy is the law of conservation of energy states that the amount of energy in a system remains constant and that energy cannot be created or destroyed.

1 . Radiant Energy and Light , Thermal Energy and Heat , Sound Energy , Electrical Energy , Chemical Energy , Nuclear Energy , Mechanical Energy .

2 . As you change the variables for the skater , the amount of energy stays the same .

3 . The law of Conservation of Energy means that the amount of energy in a system remains constant , and that energy cannot be created or destroyed . When energy changes form , the same amount of energy will exist after the change as there was before the change .

A light bulb can convert electrical energy into heat and light. If 70 Joules of electrical energy are supplied to a light bulb, the sum of the heat and light energy that is produced should also be 70 Joules.

The seven types of energy are potential energy, Kinetic energy, light energy, Thermal energy, Geothermal energy, Electrical energy, and Chemical energy. If you used different energy then the skater will do different things. Like if you use friction then he will stop. The Law of Conversation states the amount of the energy and then the energy stays constant and never stops.

1. The first forms of energy is Mechanical Energy.
2. Second form of energy is Light Energy.
3. The third form of energy is Thermal Energy.
4. Fourth form of energy is Electrical Energy.
5. The fifth form of energy is Chemical Energy.
6. six form of energy is Nuclear Energy.
7. The seventh from of energy is Sound Energy.

The amount of energy being used is always the same.

Energy in a system may take on various forms (e.g. Kinetic, potential, heat, light). The law of conservation of energy states that energy may neither be created nor destroyed. Therefore the sum of all the energies in the system is a constant.
