For this weeks Journal Entry write about the celestial bodies that make up our solar system and describe where they are located within our solar system.  Which planets are close to the sun? Which are farther away, and does position in our galaxy affect those planets?  Use the information found on Study Island and the website below to help you find facts.

The first major celestial body in our solar system is our star the Sun. It gives heat to Earth by burning hydrogen atoms and turns them into helium atoms. In about 5 billion years it will stop nurturing its planetary offspring.

The next set of celestial bodies are the planets we know of,Mercury,Venus,Earth,Mars,Jupiter,Saturn,Uranus, and Neptune. There are the inner planets Mecury through Mars made mostly of rock and metal and the outer planets Jupiter through Neptune are made up of gases. The distances between planets increases as the distance from the Sun increases.

The last set of celestial bodies is Asteriods and Meteoroids. The asteriods like Earth, are made of rock and metal. There is an asteriod belt between Mars and Jupiter.Meteoroids are similar to asteroids but are knocked off of them.Meteoroids are called meteors when they enter Earths atmosphere and called meteorites when they hit the Earths surface. That is my conclusion on celestial bodies.

Week 3:I learned about the solar system and how it works.Asteroids vary in size and are made up of rock and metal there is an asteroid belt orbiting Mars and Jupiter. There are four main types of asteroids such as Dark (D-type),Metallic
(M-type),Silicate (S-type), and Carbon (C-type).Comets are made up of dust and frozen gases and liquids. Our solar system revolves around the sun and its gravitational force.

Some of the celestial planets in our solar system are stars , moons , asteroids , comets , and meteoroids . They are located all around our solar system . Mercury , Venus and Earth are close to the Sun . Pluto , Neptune and Uranus are farther away . Position in our galaxy do not affect the planets .

I learned that mercury is a celestal body that makes the solar system. A that that every thing orbits the earth. Also there is a astroid belt that goes around the sun. Astriods are made of rock ,rock iron , and metal. i about 5 years the sun will stop giving light and it will die and have no offspring

Today I learned about the Solar System and how it works.I learned that stars are really big and is made up of hot Gas an sometime is called Plasma.Planets orbit the sun in different paths an distances.
Plus I learned that the sun is bigger that Asteroids an that the Moon is smaller than the Planets they orbit. An I learned that Asteroids are made up of rock and medal,an that the region between Jupiter and Mars has a large number of Asteroids an because of that it's called the Asteroids Belt.Comets are smaller than Asteroids,Moons,Planets and that a Comet is made up of dust particles, frozen gases an frozen water. And that what I learned about the Solar System.

The bodies of the universe is stars, planets, asteroids, moons, comets, and meteoroids.Stars are located all around the universe.Planets are all located by
or around the sun which is located in the middle of everything. Asteroids are located around the stars in the universe
moons are located around the planets.
meteoroids are located around the sun
which is what they orbit. Mercury,
Venus,Earth, and Mars are all pretty close to the sun.But Jupiter,Saturn,
Uranus, and Neptune are all pretty far from the sun.The distance away or the distance close to the sun matters because it will control the temperature
and the seasons. Thats what I learned.

The celestial bodies that make up our solar system are the following: The Sun, our 8 planets, dwarf planets, and asteroids. In order, The planets are : Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune.

i learned that millons of moons and 9 planets orbit the sun. the farthest planet is Neptune but I think is Pluto.every body says that there is 8 planets but i think there is 9 planets.Mercury is the nearest planet 2 the sun (i did not know).

A celestial bodie is any object that is in space such as a planet. some planets are closer or furthere away from the sun. If a planet is close to the sun it's temperature well be higher than it would if it were further away.Mercury is the closest planet to the sun and Neptune is the furthised away (Pluto's not a planet). Makeing Neptune's temperature lower than Mercury.

The Solar System has 9 planets.
Most of the mass of the Solar System is the Sun.Everything orbits in the same direction. The influence of the Solar System extends out for almost 2 light-years.The Solar System has 4 dwarf planets.

The Solar System

The celestial bodies of the solar system are stars, planets, moons, meteoroids, comets and asteroids.

Our solar system is located in the Milky Way Galaxy. The sun is the central star of our galaxy, followed by eight planets. The closest planets to the sun are Mercury,Venus,Earth and Mars. The planets farthest away away are Jupiter,Saturn,Uranus and Neptune.

The position of our galaxy does affect our planets. For example: Jupiter is farther from the sun than Earth which makes Jupiter colder.

The planets that make up our solar system our Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Mercury is the closest to the sun and also called the morning star. Venus is the second planet. Venus is the Earth's sister planet and is the evil twin of the two. Earth is the third planet it is the biggest of all the planets. The earth has one moon its name is Luna. Mars is the fourth planet and is known as the "Red Planet". Jupiter is the fifth planet. Jupiter's great red spot has had a storm for at least 300 years. The red spot is called "The Eye of Jupiter". Saturn is the sixth planet and it is known for its rings. Uranus is the seventh planet and it spins on its side. Neptune is the eighth planet and is furthest away from the sun. Neptune is a windy place and near the Great Dark Spot winds can reach 1,200 miles per hour.

The planets are orbiting around the sun. The closest planet to the sun is Mercury. Mercury is the hottest planet because it's near the sun. Earth is the third planet from the sun. Some of the farthest planets are Jupiter, Neptune, and Saturn. Neptune is the farthest planet. Some of our galaxies are the Milky Way and the Elliptical galaxy.

The Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Mars are all relatively close to the Earth. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune are progressively farther away from the Earth. The distances between planets increase as the distance between the Sun increases. Moons are bodies of rock that orbit planets. Moons are smaller than the planets they orbit, but are usually larger than asteroids.

Some of our celestial bodies are stars moon planets Asteroids Comets and Meteoroids. Mercury Venus Earth and Mars make up the inner planets. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune make up the outer planets. One fact I know is that if the earth was just a little bit closer the earth will burn and it was further it would freeze.

In our solar system we find; stars, meteoroids, asteroids, comets, plants, and moons. All objects in our solar system revolve around the sun. The inner planets are Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars. The outer planets are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. the closer they are the hotter and the further way the colder.
