OH Grade 6-8, Science Standard Earth and Space Sciences B
Explain that the universe is composed of vast amounts of matter, most of which is at incomprehensible distances and held together by gravitational force. Describe how the universe is studied by the use of equipment such as telescopes, probes, satellites and spacecraft.

My 3 types of Galaxies, Spiral Galaxy,Elliptical Galaxy and Irregular Galaxy and our galaxy The Milky Way

My 3 different tools to study the galaxy An X-ray telescope,Satellites,Probes

A bunch of planets make up a solar system a bunch of solar systems make up a galaxy and a bunch of galaxies make a universe

1.Henry Draper 1837-1882
American made first photograph of a stellar spectrum (that of Vega); later photographed spectra of over a hundred stars and published them in a catalog; studied spectrum of Orion Nebula, which he showed was a dust cloud

2.Edward Charles Pickering 1846-1919
American discovered the first spectroscopic binary star, Mizar

3.Edward Barnard 1857-1923
American discovered eight comets and Almathea, the fifth moon of Jupiter; also discovered star with largest proper motion, now called Barnard's star

planets → solar system → galaxy → universe describes the astronomical terms in the order of least to greatest. Three types of galaxies are- spiral, irregular, and barred spiral. The name of our galaxy is the Milky Way Galaxy. Three different tools that scientists use to study the stars are- telescopes, probes and satellites.
Edwin Hubble was an American astronomer that discovered the law that eventually became known as Hubble's Law. He also developed the Big Bang theory.
Samuel Herrick was also an American astronomer that specialized in celestial mechanics and also made important studies that helped the development of manned-space flight.

1.) It is describing which one is next in line, like after one which one is bigger then the next.
2.) Our galaxy is the Milky Way. Other ones are called Elliptical Galaxy, Barred Galaxy, and Irregular Galaxy.
3.) Tools scientists use are Telescopes, Satellites, and Probes.
4.) Nicolaus Copernicus 1473-1543 Polish: Developed a simple heliocentric model of the solar system that explained planetary retrograde motion & overturned Greek astronomy.
Russell Alan Hulse 1950-American: Co-discovered the first binary pulsar.
