This weeks post is 2 parts...

1.  Using information in your Study Island lesson, describe how bio-geochemical cycles such as the water cycle effects weather.  This should be written in the comment section and be 3-4 sentences.
2.  Using Weather.com look up two cities and describe the weather forecast for Friday 9/23/2011.  Include the predicted temperature (the high and the low temp.), the chance of rain and include what type of clouds (if any) will be in the atmosphere.

Include both parts in one post!

The weather would be affected alot if there was no water cycle. For instance there would be no rain. Because of evaporation there are clouds, but if there was no water to be evaporated, then there would be no clouds.
The two cities I looked up were Denver,CO and Sante Fe,NM. The predicted weather for Friday, September 23 in Denver is a high of 81 an da low of 54. There was a 0%rain and cumulus clouds. The predicted weather for Friday, September 23 in Sante Fe,NM is a high of 76 and a low of 46. There was also a 0% chance of rain with no clouds in the sky

The Water Cycle effects the weather because if there was no water cycle then we would not have any rain also if there were no water cycle then we would not have any clouds because it wouldn't be any water to be evaporated.
The two cities I looked up was Atlanta Ga,and Miami Fl. Atlanta will be 79 degrees with Scattered T-Storms today and Thursday it will be 82 degrees with Scattered T-Storms and Friday it will be 78 degrees with Scattered T-Stoms .In Miami Today will be 88 degrees with isolated T-Storms and Thursday it will be 88 degrees with P-M T-Storms and Friday it will be 88 degrees with scattered T-Storms.

The water cycle effects weather by evaporating rain so when rain eveporating it can cause clouds and rain.So when i look up to states or citys i look up californa hot springs and washington DC. I found out on the 23 in cali it well be sunny with 90 deg and 0% of rain and in washington on the 23 it well be scarrtered t-storms with 76 degs and 60% chance of rain in washington the clouds well be cumulonimusd and cali the clouds well be cumulus

The water cycle effects weather because if there were no water cycle there would be no rain. The temperature would change less of the time with no water cycle. My two city are Canton,OH,59H 50L Status. Cleveland ,OH,60H 52L Status.

The water cycle effects weather by evaporating into the air, and causing rain. With no water cycle, there would be no rain.
The two cities i looked up were Lima, Peru and LONDON, UK.

Lima, Peru
64H, 59L
no chance of rain
partly cloudy

LONDON, UK
67H,50L
20% chance of rain
partly cloudy

Weather
In this week's lesson I learned about the types of clouds and what the weather will be like when a type of cloud forms. For example, when you see a Cumulus cloud which is puffy and white with a flat bottom when a cumulus cloud is in the air there will most likely be regular weather, but cumulus clouds can grow vertically to form cumulonimbus clouds, that indicate thunderstorms. Another thing I learned is that when warm air masses move under cold air masses it's called a warm front and there will be drizzly rain. I also learned that precipitation is any form of of water coming from the atmosphere. Precipitation is measured by a rain gauge or snow gauge.
The first city I chose was Poplarville, Mississippi. On Friday in Poplarville there will be isolated thunderstorms with a high of 81 degrees Fahrenheit, a low of 62 degrees Fahrenheit, and a 30% chance of rain with cumulonimbus clouds. The second city I chose was Los Angeles, California. On Friday in L.A it will be partly cloudy with a high of 81 degrees Fahrenheit, a low of 62 degrees Fahrenheit, and a 20% chance of rain, with cumulus clouds.

1.Water can change states among liquid, vapor, and ice at various places in the water cycle. The water moves from one reservoir to another, such as from river to ocean, or from the ocean to the atmosphere, by the physical processes of evaporation, condensation, precipitation, infiltration, runoff, and subsurface flow.

If there was no water cycle the weather would be affected alot because without a water cycle then plants wouldnt get water from the rain after it is evaporated into tghe air and then rained down on to the plants.
the to places i choose were atlana,GA and Paris France.
Atlana
62 degres F 0 chance of rain or snow
Paris
63 dgrees F chance of rain 0 chance of snow

The water cycle effects the earth by watering wild plants.

Tokyo,Japan
73H,64L
30% chance of rain
partly cloudy

Hong Kong,China
86H,76H
no chance of rain
sunny
